Swansea City star Eom Ji-Sung will miss their trip to Blackburn Rovers after sustaining a knee injury during the international break.

John Eustace's side have been given a boost as they aim to maintain their 100% record at Ewood Park this term. It will also offer the opportunity to put to bed back-to-back away defeats over the international break with two home games coming up.

Swansea will be without their best attacker for the next month, minimum, after he suffered a MCL knee issue with South Korea. The forward was pictured on crutches last week after their win over Jordan.

The extent of that issue has now been revealed by an official from the player's camp. Ji-Sung has also ready returned to Swansea's training ground and will be assessed by their medical team too.

They said: "According to Eom Jisung's MRI test results, he suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament of the tibia. It will likely take about 4 weeks for him to return to team training. He will be out for regular play for 4 to 6 weeks, which is longer than that."

Swansea still have former Preston North End winger, Adam Reach, and full-back Cyrus Christie training at the club. No decision has been made on their futures yet, with boss Luke Williams likely to give an update before the weekend's trip to Rovers.
