John Eustace and Danny Batth have missed out on September's Championship awards.

The Blackburn Rovers duo were nominated for the prize after collecting seven points from their three fixtures. Batth was part of a Rovers defence that recorded three successive clean sheets.

However, it was not enough to sway the judges to win the award. Eustace has now been nominated for August and September, missing out on both occasions. It's unlikely he'll be in the running for October due to Rovers' recent back-to-back defeats.

Instead, it was Sheffield United's Chris Wilder who won the award. The Blades sit second on 19 points but would be top if it wasn't for their two-point deduction at the start of the campaign.

United took 10 points from a possible 12 in September and didn't concede a goal. They haven't in their two October matches either, making it six successive Championship clean sheets.

Borja Sainz won the Player of the Month award after scoring four goals in three games. That included an eye-catching hat-trick in a 3-2 win at Derby County. The Spaniard has netted seven goals in nine Championship games overall this term for Johannes Hoff Thorup's side.

The judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
