Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course.
Aynsley Pears - 8
Pulled off some important saves in the second half to keep Rovers in the game. Denied Cissoko and Bundu with two good stops.
Hayden Carter - 4
Gave the ball away a few times and struggled against the very dangerous Cissoko.
Danny Batth - 4
Struggled with the pace of Obafemi. Was lucky not to give a goal away in the first half after the striker got the better of him.
Dom Hyam - 5
Booked for a cynical foul in the first half. Better in the second half.
Harry Pickering - 5
Got forward down the left but couldn't create much. Got a bit more joy in the closing stages.
Lewis Travis - 5
Gave a few sloppy passes away in the first half. Rovers were outnumbered in midfield and Plymouth got through the centre too often.
Sondre Tronstad - 6
Not his best display in midfield. Rovers just lack some control in the middle.
Andi Weimann - 5
Had an early opportunity to give Rovers the lead but the ball ran away from him as the goalkeeper came out. Didn't offer much, starting a third game in seven days.
Tyrhys Dolan - 4
A disappointing week for Dolan after impressing last Saturday. Struggled to get in the game and lost the ball several times in the second half.
Ryan Hedges - 6
Tested Grimshaw with a decent hit from outside the box. Some nice touches but nothing meaningful.
Makhtar Gueye - 5
Didn't have much service but didn't really grasp the opportunity with both hands.
Substitutes:
Todd Cantwell (Dolan, 57') - 8
Came on and increased the intensity. Looks nailed on as a starter when he's up to speed.
Yuki Ohashi (Gueye, 57') - 7
Nodded down Pickering's cross but somehow nobody got a touch.
Joe Rankin-Costello (Batth, 66') - 8
Came on and played right-back for the first time under Eustace.Popped up at the back post to equalise. Had a good case to start there next game if Brittain isn't fit before scoring anyway.
Amario Cozier-Duberry (Weimann, 66') - 8
The brightest of Rovers' attackers. Came on and looked like he might create something. Has done enough to start next time, for me.
Arnor Sigurdsson (Hedges, 75') - 6
On as a final throw of the dice.
Unused substitutes: Toth, McFadzean, Buckley, Baker.
Referee: James Linington
Attendance: 16,671
