John Eustace won't be afraid to make changes this weekend and doesn't view players as having 'credit in the bank'.

Blackburn Rovers dropped their levels on Tuesday night against Coventry City and were dispatched 3-0. It is the first blemish on their Championship record.

The start to the season has been positive until now, with the players getting plenty of plaudits from fans. They'd recorded three successive clean sheets before the CBS Arena reverse and therefore, it's interesting to gauge how much Eustace will shake up the team.

However, the Rovers head coach dismissed that idea that players had 'credit in the bank' and therefore might keep their places this weekend.

He wants to see a reaction from whoever is in the team at Home Park and isn't going to allow complacency to creep in.

"I think to say that it was acceptable because the lads had credit in the bank or whatever isn't right really," he told The Lancashire Telegraph.

"There is a way you go about playing. We had a game where we weren't ourselves collectively. Saturday is a chance to put that right collectively, whoever plays.

"It doesn't matter, it's about our squad players coming in and making a case for themselves if they come in. We have players coming off the bench who are important.

"Even with the players coming off the bench on Tuesday, we weren't as competitive as we wanted to be. It's something we want to learn from."

In a three-game week, Rovers might be led by the data with Saturday's team. Eustace referenced a few bumps and bruises despite staying typically guarded on team news.

Whilst the optics would've suggested there were a few tired legs at Coventry, Eustace insists their data came out impressively.

In fact, Rovers outran the Sky Blues despite it looking rather different on the pitch.

"Tuesday, we outran Coventry and our data was excellent. The attitude of the boys, no matter what game, is very good," Eustace revealed.

"It was the fine details, the last pass. Whatever duel we missed, it wasn't us. The data is very good for all the games we have played, whoever is in the team.

"We're right up there with the best of them for the output. The attitude of the boys is very, very good.

"The Championship is very competitive, it's relentless. Usually, the team that scores first has a good foothold in the game.

"But we have shown great character to come back as well which is very pleasing. Home and away, every game is difficult and so we have to keep learning throughout those games."
