The FA have asked Blackburn Rovers for their observations as they investigate the bite incident involving Owen Beck and Preston North End's Milutin Osmajic, The Lancashire Telegraph understands.
The Montenegrin striker left the on-loan Liverpool defender with a bite mark on his neck on Sunday following a melee in stoppage time. Beck was dismissed for kicking out at Duane Holmes and was then grabbed by Osmajic in the aftermath.
It's understood that the young defender spoke to match officials after the incident. Beck was seen by the TV cameras trying to explain to the linesmen before he was dismissed.

An FA investigation was inevitable given how conclusive the footage is and, unsurprisingly, that is the case.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands that Rovers have been contacted by The FA for information as they investigate the incident. The club are assisting with their enquiries and will provide the relevant information in the next 24 hours.
In all likelihood, Osmajic will face a ban for the incident. Luis Suarez faced ten matches on the sidelines for his bite on Branislav Ivanovic back in 2013. Both John Eustace and Paul Heckingbottom condemned the incident after the match.
It's unlikely that The FA will make a formal statement until the investigation is complete. At that stage, they will likely charge Osmajic for the incident.
