John Eustace confirmed Owen Beck was bitten by Milutin Osmajic after being sent off against Preston North End.
The Blackburn Rovers left-back was dismissed in stoppage time after a tangle with Duane Holmes in the corner. Replays have shown that Osmajic then grabbed the Liverpool loanee and took a bite out of the back of his neck.
The footage is damning and the Preston striker will now face a ban from The Football Association. Eustace was, understandably, angry about the situation.
"I haven't really seen it, he went to clear the ball and possibly caught the lad," Eustace said.

"He's got a big bite mark on the back of his neck. It's a shame the referee didn't see that as well.
"He's got a big bite mark. He has been in and shown the lads. He's very disappointed to be sent off and you don't expect him to have that either.
"He's a bit quiet in there and a bit shaken up. I don't know if he spoke to the referee, I'm not sure if it was before or after the red. He might want to speak to the officials about it.
"It's a very serious incident, nobody likes to be bitten. Everyone is angry about it, it's not a nice situation to be in. I'm sure the right people will see it and deal with it.
"The way the second half went, Preston managed the game very well. I think the referee got sucked into the cheap fouls and the yellow cards.
"It certainly got the Preston fans up and rightly so. I am happy with more boys."
Rovers had to settle for a point despite having a man advantage for most of the second half following Sam Greenwood's red card. Eustace admitted his side didn't do enough with the ball to break down a resolute North End defence.
He was pleased with another clean sheet, though, as Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to six matches.
"I think there was a really good fighting spirit, a second clean sheet in a row which is pleasing," Eustace said.
"We didn't play the football we wanted to today but we showed another side of our game where we had to stay in the game and limited them up until the last minute.
"We had the best chance of the game. We were under pressure a lot in the first half without them really causing us any problems.
"There is lots to work on. They have been down to ten men for large portions and so we have to be better with the ball. I am happy with the effort, we brought two or three players in who haven't had the chance to perform for us.
"They came in during a very hostile atmosphere. We are going in the right direction."
