Callum Brittain and Harry Pickering missed Blackburn Rovers' win over Bristol City due to injury whilst Arnor Sigurdsson was ill.
The trio were all absent from the matchday squad which forced a reshuffle in defence. Hayden Carter switched to right-back with Danny Batth coming in for his full league debut.
John Eustace revealed that Rovers have been suffering with niggles behind the scenes for a number of weeks. Brittain has a knee injury, which almost ruled him out of Burnley and has prevented him from training since.
Pickering's issue was initially diagnosed as a back spasm but appears to now be a hip issue. Andi Weimann has also been struggling with a foot problem which consigned him to a role off the bench on Saturday.
Eustace didn't give clear timeframes on when the two full-backs will return but hasn't ruled them out of featuring at Preston North End on Sunday.
"Siggy has been sick for the last three or four days, he hasn't been at the training ground," Eustace said.
"Callum hasn't trained since the Burnley game. Pick hasn't played since Blackpool. We'll have to look at that, we have a game in eight days so we'll have to see how they recover.
"I hope it's not weeks but I don't think any longer than that. Cal suffered a knee injury before the Burnley game, didn't train all week but then played and hasn't been able to train since. He had a setback.
"With Picks, it was more his hip. He's been back on the grass a day or so but we'll have to see. I don't think they will be too long.
"Andi Weimann, I'd have loved to have started him today but he hasn't trained for two weeks solid.
"To get him on the pitch today was great. He played at Burnley with a foot injury and then hasn't been able to train for two weeks. Yesterday he turned up trained a bit and said he would be ok for the bench.
"It's always about the squad, 40 games to go and the squad will be used in every game."
