John Eustace has key decisions to make in his Blackburn Rovers starting line-up with Makhtar Gueye suspended against Bristol City.

There will be at least one change to the team that drew at Burnley before the international break after the forward was sent off. Harry Pickering and Danny Batth are likely to be available after their absences too.

Aynsley Pears is likely to retain his place in goal. Balazs Toth has only had two training sessions with Rovers, either side of a trip away with Hungary, and so it's hard to envisage Eustace throwing him in at this stage.

It will be an interesting battle between the two goalkeepers. Pears has made a solid start to the season and with Rovers out of the Carabao Cup, Toth may have to be patient.

Callum Brittain, Hayden Carter and Dom Hyam will make up three of the back four. The question is, if Pickering is fit, whether Owen Beck is rewarded after an impressive debut or if he drops to the bench.

It would be very harsh on the Liverpool loanee to miss out. Eustace has said that if players perform, they'll keep their shirt and so I think that might be the case.

In midfield, Sondre Tronstad and Lewis Travis will continue in front of the defence. The real question is who plays ahead of them.

Todd Cantwell is not ready to start and so Tyrhys Dolan will continue as a number 10. Andi Weimann and Ryan Hedges are likely to retain their places too, with Amario Cozier-Dubbery itching for a debut from the bench.

In attack, Yuki Ohashi is the natural choice to replace Gueye and lead the line.

Predicted Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Carter, Hyam, Beck; Travis, Tronstad; Weimann, Dolan, Hedges; Ohashi.
