Amario Cozier-Dubbery has been called up by the England Under-20 squad for their upcoming fixture against Romania.

Blackburn Rovers' new signing has spent the first week of his loan spell training with the team at the Senior Training Centre during the international break.

However, he will now be heading out to St George's Park to link up with the rest of the group. They face Romania at Edgeley Park on Tuesday (7pm) night, home of Stockport County.

It's the first time the Brighton & Hove Albion loanee has been brought into the Under-20 side, having previously represented England at Under-16, 17, 18 and 19 level.

England U20s drew 1-1 with Turkey on Friday night with a Dom Ballard equaliser earning them a point in Istanbul.

Elsewhere on the international stage, Arnor Sigurdsson was in action for Iceland as they beat Montenegro. The Blackburn Rovers winger came off the bench in the 65th minute to help his country secure victory.

It's the first of two Nations League matches for Iceland in  League B Group 4. They next travel to Turkey for their second fixture on Monday.

Craig Bellamy's first match as Wales boss saw them draw 0-0 with Iceland's next opponents. Despite having Burak Yilmaz sent off, Wales couldn't find a way past their opponents and had to settle for a draw.

With Wales chasing the game, it limited any chance for Owen Beck to make his debut. The 22-year-old is uncapped but will be hoping for an opportunity on Monday against Montenegro.

It was a similar story for Tom Atcheson, who was an unused subtitute having been called into the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for the first time this week. He has been a regular at Under-17 level but this was his first chance with the more senior side.

They drew 0-0 with England. Atcheson is on loan at National League North side Marine AFC until January. He'll get another chance to make his debut on Tuesday in Norther Ireland's Euro 2025 qualifiers against Ukraine.

Igor Tyjon, however, made his full debut for England Under-17s having been called into the squas for the first time. They beat Mexico 5-0 and although the young striker wasn't on the score sheet, he got 61 minutes under his belt.

Finally, Adohan Doherty played the full 90 minutes for Northern Ireland Under-19s as they were beaten by Norway.

A brace from Daniel Braut ensured the Norwegians came out on top in a comfortable victory against Gareth McAuley’s youngsters.

They're next in action on Sunday (8th September) at Lisleby Stadion against Sweden. The mini-tournament in Norway will kick-start McAuley’s preparations for the qualifying round for Under-19 Euro 2025, which is due to be staged in Romania next summer.

In more success for Rovers' Academy talents, Max Davies has signed his first professional deal with the club. The 17-year-old centre-back, who trained with the first team under Jon Dahl Tomasson in the early stages of pre-season last year, has committed his future until 2026.

“You obviously work hard all your life and all your career to finally get your first deal, so I’m buzzing," he said.

“It gives you that platform to try and kick on, and time to develop yourself even more, and to eventually try and get in the first team.

“I joined at Under-13s from Manchester United and it’s been brilliant so far. The club have helped me massively to get to where I am now.

“Looking back now, it was the best decision I made to come here over anywhere else. I’ve developed a lot, both on and off the pitch."
