Burnley have confirmed the signing of midfielder Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper over a four-year deal at Turf Moor to become the Clarets' eighth signing of the summer.
“I’m very excited," he told the club site. "Very happy to be here and I can’t wait to see the fans.
"I have played against Burnley before at Turf Moor and the atmosphere was amazing.
“After speaking to (Scott Parker), the project sounded good to me and hopefully we can make success.”
The midfielder began his youth career in France, joining Monaco's Academy ranks in 2018.
Mejbri headed to Manchester United in the summer of 2019 and progressed through the age groups, making his senior debut in a Premier League game against Wolves at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
He spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Birmingham in the Championship and also had a stint at La Liga club Sevilla during the second half of last term.
The 21-year-old also has experience on the international stage, representing France at youth level before committing his future to Tunisia.
Mejbri earned his first senior cap in the summer of 2021 and went on to feature at the Qatar World Cup.
He featured for United in their 1-0 victory at Turf Moor last season, playing the full 90 minutes alongside Scott McTominay and Casemiro in midfield.
Meanwhile, Burnley confirmed on Tuesday that Ameen Al-Dakhil had completed a permanent move to German outfit Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee.
The defender arrived in East Lancashire in January 2023 and went on to make 29 appearances for the Clarets, scoring in a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City last term.
He also earned a first senior call-up to the Belgium squad during his time at Turf Moor.
