John Eustace will rotate his Blackburn Rovers squad once again when they face Blackpool in the Carabao Cup second round.

Rovers beat Stockport County 6-1 in round one to set up this clash with the Seasiders. Rovers did the double over Blackpool in the 2022/23 season, winning 1-0 on both occasions.

It's been an unbeaten start to the season for Eustace and he'll want to maintain that, though changes are anticipated. He made six in the last round and a similar level of rotation can be expected again.

Aynsley Pears will start in goal, as he did against Stockport. Danny Batth and Kyle McFadzean are both likely to be drafted in at centre-backs.

Rovers only have two senior full-backs with Leo Duru also knocking on the door at right-back. Harry Pickering and the Rovers youngster may start.

It's a toss-up as to which of Lewis Travis or Sondre Tronstad will partner John Buckley in the middle. I'll opt for the Rovers skipper.

In attack, Andi Weimann and Saturday's match-winner, Arnor Sigurdsson will start. Makhtar Gueye could lead the line after only playing the final 30 minutes at the weekend. Jack Vale is pushing to be involved too.

The final spot in attack, whether that be as the #10 or on the right, is up for grabs. It could come down to fitness.

Predicted Rovers team: Pears; Duru, Batth, McFadzean, Pickering; Travis, Buckley; Weimann, Vale, Sigurdsson; Gueye.
