Blackburn Rovers are sweating on the fitness of Hayden Carter this weekend after picking up a knock at Norwich City.
The defender is John Eustace's only injury doubt ahead of the visit of Oxford United. Carter hadn't trained up to Thursday this week and that makes him an obvious doubt to play any part against the Us.
Eustace has named an unchanged team in both Championship games but Carter's absence would force him into at least one change. Danny Batth is at the front of the queue to make his full league debut if he's not fit to play.
Aynsley Pears will be in goal, with Callum Brittain, Harry Pickering and Dom Hyam to continue in defence.
Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad have impressed in front of the back four and their remit is unlikely to change. Joe Rankin-Costello might get another chance on the right, though Andi Weimann is pushing him for that place in the attack.
Ryan Hedges will have benefited from another free week and will retain his place on the left. Despite Yuki Ohashi's heroics from the bench, I'd expect Tyrhys Dolan and Makhtar Gueye to lead the attack as they have in the previous two matches.
Predicted Blackburn Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Pickering; Travis, Tronstad; Rankin-Costello, Dolan, Hedges; Gueye.
