Burnley midfielder Sande Berge has completed a permanent switch to Fulham for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old has put pen to paper over a five-year deal at Craven Cottage with an option for a further 12 months.

Manchester United had also been credited with an interest in Berge but Fulham have managed to secure his signature.

He told the club site: “It feels fantastic. It’s been a little bit back and forth the last few weeks but I’m finally sitting here in the shirt in this beautiful stadium, knowing that my future is here which feels great.

“Fulham has always been a team that excited me. I’ve played them both in the Championship and Premier League, and it’s fantastic how they play.

“The DNA of the club is to be dominant, aggressive, front-footed and play nice football, and I think that suits me.”

The 26-year-old arrived at Turf Moor from Sheffield United last summer and went on to score twice in 40 appearances, including a fine strike in the 2-0 victory at Fulham last December.

Director of football operations Tony Khan added: “Sander has tremendous experience playing in the Premier League and in international competition, and we believe that he'll be a great addition to our squad."

Meanwhile, Anass Zaroury has joined Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old winger joined the Clarets in the summer of 2022 and played a key role as the club clinched the Championship title.

He spent the second half of last term on loan at Hull City and was absent from the squad against Cardiff City at the weekend.
