John Eustace reiterated Blackburn Rovers must accept mistakes on the ball as they try to implement an attacking style of football.
Rovers have looked very impressive going forward, scoring 12 goals in their opening three matches. However, against Norwich City, there were several examples of the risks attached with playing out from defence.
Sondre Tronstad, Aynsley Pears and Callum Brittain were all guilty of mistakes on the ball, which the latter punished for his error. That could've happened to any, though, and he made amends with a delightful cross for Yuki Ohashi's equaliser.
Eustace has no qualms about those types of errors, though will work to cut them out. He accepts that mistakes are part and parcel of playing this brand of football.

"It's about getting the right balance. If you want to play an attacking brand of football, you have to realise you'll make mistakes, at times, and be punished," he told The Lancashire Telegraph.
"Callum (Brittain) is very consistent, he was gutted he made the mistake. But what a fantastic ball in to put things right. We never attach blame, we win lose or draw together.
"We don't blame anyone. It was a very positive reaction.
"We played good football, at times, last season, without being clinical in the final third. I want Blackburn to be difficult to play against but also easy on the eye.
"It's going to take time, it's going to take patience but we are moving in the right direction."
Eustace was overall disappointed to not win at Norwich despite the late leveller rescuing a point. Rovers had shown their clinical edge in the first half but rode their luck with Norwich wasteful in front of goal.
The Canaries then scored twice in eight minutes which looked to have cost Rovers anything but they fought back.
Eustace was disappointed not to win the game after restricting Norwich to few self-created opportunities. In the end, he was also pleased at the character shown to get a point.
"I feel disappointed if I'm going to be honest," he reflected on the match.
"I wanted to win the game. I am delighted with the character the group showed. We have never known when we're beaten, bar on game where we got a hammering last season (Bristol City).
"It's a strong group that is improving all the time. I thought we were very good, especially in the first half. We dominated an excellent team with the balls and without the balls.
"We limited them to nothing apart from the chances that were our own problems being loose on the ball.
"I thought we scored a terrific goal on the transition which we spoke about earlier in the week. Coming in at half-time, the lads were confident but we went into the second half a bit flat.
"You saw a lot of tired legs, three or fours players who haven't had a pre-season, not all the subs are used to the intensity of the league as well. To finish the week as we have to get a late equaliser, showing such quality, is very pleasing.
"I am asking the team to play football, good attacking football and we did that in the first half. We want to be a team that is comfortable in possession and we will make mistakes. What counts is how you react to that.
"To go 2-1 down, so quickly, was a kick in the teeth. The players who came on were excellent and then we scored a terrific goal.
"We want to play exciting attacking football and we did that, at times, today, as we did against Derby and Stockport. It's a work in progress, there is a lot of work ahead but the lads are taking the messages on board."
On the drop-off in intensity second half, he explained: "I think you look at Ryan Hedges and the shift he put in during the first half, his numbers were off the scale.
"I considered taking him off at half-time, maybe I should have. I wanted to give 15 minutes but he couldn't get started again. Makhtar couldn't get started again second half.
"These players are on catch-up after pre-season and they're all sweating buckets for the club. When I ask them to play, they won't let you down and that's what we ask for.
"Those off the bench won't let you down and they made a difference today like the previous two games."
