Rovers will host Blackpool in a Lancashire derby in the Carabao Cup second round.
John Eustace's side ensured they will be in the hat following an emphatic 6-1 victory against Stockport County at Edgeley Park.
Sam Szmodics bagged a brace, with Andi Weimann, Yuki Ohashi, Makhtar Gueye and Jack Vale also getting on the scoresheet.
Rovers won 1-0 when they last faced Blackpool in February 2023 thanks to Tyrhys Dolan's goal.
Meanwhile, Burnley have been drawn away at Wolves. The Clarets, who enter the competition at this stage, were beaten 1-0 at Molineux last December after Hwang Hee-Chan got the decisive goal.
Second-round fixtures will take place in the week commencing Monday, August 26 and the competition remains regionalised at this stage. Matches will go straight to penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.
This season, every Carabao Cup tie is being broadcast live on Sky Sports + for viewers in the UK as part of a record new rights deal.
