Rovers and Burnley will learn their opponents in the Carabao Cup second round tonight. Here are all the details you need.

Rovers ensured they will be in the hat following an emphatic 6-1 victory against Stockport County at Edgeley Park.

Sam Szmodics bagged a brace, with Andi Weimann, Yuki Ohashi, Makhtar Gueye and Jack Vale also getting on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Burnley enter the competition at this stage following relegation from the Premier League last season.

When is the draw?

The draw takes place live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports News following the conclusion of Leeds’ tie against Middlesbrough, which is expected to be around 10pm.

Most Premier League clubs join the competition at this stage. The only exceptions are Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United, who join in the third round due to their involvement in European competition.

Fleetwood, Colchester and Harrogate were among the League Two clubs who caused upsets in the opening round.

When will ties be played?

Second-round fixtures will take place in the week commencing Monday, August 26 - several days before the East Lancashire derby at Turf Moor.

The competition remains regionalised at this stage between northern and southern sections, while matches will go straight to penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.

This season, every Carabao Cup tie is being broadcast live on Sky Sports + for viewers in the UK as part of a record new rights deal.
