Burnley have completed the signing of goalkeeper Etienne Green from Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne.
The 24-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee and has put pen to paper over a three-year deal at Turf Moor.
He told the club site: “It feels great to be here. I can’t wait to meet the team and get training and playing with them.
“I have always wanted to play for an English club, so to be here at a club like Burnley with the rich history is amazing. I’m excited and it really is a dream come true.”
Green was born in England and moved to France at the age of four. He started out at ES Veauche before joining Saint-Etienne's Academy set-up.
The shot stopper progressed through the youth ranks and signed his first professional deal in the summer of 2020.
He has made 35 top flight appearances over the past four years and also represented England at Under-21 level.
Green bolsters the Clarets' goalkeeping department following Aro Muric's move to Premier League newcomers Ipswich.
Lawrence Vigouroux also left Turf Moor this summer to join Swansea, while Vaclav Hladky arrived after helping Ipswich secure promotion to the top flight.
There is still speculation over James Trafford's future. The youngster arrived from Manchester City last summer and played 28 times in the Premier League, also earning a first call-up to the England senior squad.
Burnley kick off the new campaign with a trip to Luton Town on Monday, August 12 (8pm) in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Meanwhile, Darko Churlinov has joined Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old winger - who arrived at Turf Moor in the summer of 2022 - spent the second half of last term at Schalke, making 10 appearances in Bundesliga 2.
