Stanley have announced the signing of winger Ash Hunter from AFC Fylde on a one-year deal.
Hunter has plenty of EFL experience following spells with Fleetwood, Salford, Morecambe and MK Dons.
He spent the second half of last season at Fylde, helping the Coasters avoid relegation from the National League.
He told the club website: "It’s nice to be back in the league, I spent some time in the National League with Fylde at the back end of last season so I am really happy to be back in the league.
"I didn’t know the gaffer or Ged (Brannan) before I came to Accrington but speaking to my mate Faz (Farrend Rawson), he put a nice little word in for me, got me up here to train. Luckily, I did quite well and got rewarded with a contract.
“Everyone has bills to pay so it is hard when you don't have a club. Not knowing where you are at is quite hard, but you have to stick to what you are good at and believe in yourself.
"I have contributed goals and assists, and apart from that, I am an honest lad, I work hard for the team, and will do everything to get the points.
“In League Two you have to be tough. A lot of the games are more of a battle than nice football but you have to stick in there, put yourself about, and get the rewards.
“Everyone goes into the season aiming to get promoted and hopefully we can do that.
“Apart from Fylde, this is the first time all the clubs I have played for are in the same league - Fleetwood, Salford, Morecambe and MK Dons - so I am looking forward to it."
The Reds kick off the new campaign kick off the league campaign this weekend with a trip to Doncaster.
John Doolan added: "First and foremost, Ash has got a lot of experience in both leagues so he will be a great addition to the squad.
"His experience will be invaluable going forward. He knows the leagues inside and out and will be a massive help to the young lads.
"Ash is good on the ball and technically he is very good. He will be a very good asset."
