Blackburn Rovers Women have discovered their fixtures for the 2024/25 Barclays Championship campaign.

Simon Parker's side will start their season at Ewood Park against London City on Sunday, September 15. It was announced this week that the Women will play all their league fixtures at Rovers' home ground this coming season, for the first time.

Rovers finish the campaign in front of their own fans against Newcastle United as they look to improve on last season's sixth-placed finish.

Off the pitch, there will be a new way for Rovers fans to watch the Women's matches, with selected Barclays Women’s Championship games to now be streamed live globally on YouTube.

It's been revealed that non-broadcasted games, via Sky Sports and the BBC, in the Super League will be available via their official channel, moving away from FA Player. The same applies to selected Championship games, which has its own separate page on YouTube.

It's said that fans will also find 'regular content dedicated to each league, including highlights, post-match interviews and entertaining shoulder content' on those channels throughout the season.

Nikki Doucet, CEO of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Championship, said: “Fixture release day is always an exciting time in our calendar, and this year is no exception.

“We have so many incredibly competitive fixtures across both our leagues, which will no doubt excite fans and players alike.

“It is also a landmark moment for us with our transition to YouTube as our streaming service. The FA Player has been a hugely important part of the growth of women’s football in recent years, and the free-to-air reach it has afforded our teams has been crucial in our development.

“Coupled with the high-quality coverage provided by our broadcast partners Sky Sports and the BBC, watching the women’s professional game here in the UK has never been easier.

“As we continue our journey into the NewCo, YouTube will offer even more supporters, both current and future, the opportunity to enjoy our amazing leagues at the click of a button.”
