Aodhan Doherty and Tom Atcheson started for Northern Ireland but they crashed out of the Under-19 European Championship after losing to Norway.
The Blackburn Rovers pair were both handed their first starts of the tournament with Gareth McAuley's side needing to win the game.
Victory for Northern Ireland and a defeat for Ukraine against holders Italy would've put them into the semi-finals. However, they didn't hold up their end of the bargain, losing 2-0 to Norway.
As it was, they wouldn't have qualified anyway with Ukraine winning. Nonetheless, the defeat ended a disappointing tournament for the Rovers pair on home soil.

Daniel Braut scored a brace, one in each half, to ensure Norway did all they could to qualify, though it proved to be in vain.
Atcheson and Doherty both played the full 90 minutes. It was the defender's first start of the competition, whilst Doherty had been a substitute in the previous two matches.
France and Spain are in pole position to qualify to face Italy or Ukraine. The former have already qualified whilst a point is enough for the Spanish to reach the last four too.
Denmark are already out whilst a win for Turkey and a goal difference swing could see them narrowly pip Spain if they win and France are victorious too.
