Blackburn Rovers' friendly against Stockport County will go ahead as planned after a period of uncertainty.
John Eustace's side were due to meet the League One club on Friday, August 2, in what is their final pre-season match before the Championship season begins.
However, Rovers announced that the game was subject to being confirmed after the two teams drew each other in the Carabao Cup first round, scheduled to be played on August 13.
After such internal discussions and explorative talks about arranging a different opponent, Rovers have now confirmed the game will go ahead as planned at Edgeley Park.
The match is a 7:30pm kick-off on the same date as previously advertised. Tickets are now on sale and priced at £5 for all ages groups and can be bought directly from Stockport County here.
Rovers will round off their pre-season preparations this match, with Morecambe and Wigan Athletic the weekend prior after they return from Austria.
Eustace's men have played 90 minutes against Accrington Stanley, two 60-minute matches versus Tranmere Rovers and then round-off their week abroad with a match against 2.Bundesliga club Nurnberg.
