Tom Atcheson and Aodhan Doherty are part of the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad taking part in the European Championship.
The pair were named in a 20-man squad for the tournament, which happens to take place in Northern Ireland.
Gareth McAuley’s side face Ukraine in Larne on Monday, July 15 and also have fixtures against Italy on Thursday, July 18 and Norway on Sunday, July 21.
The other group includes Spain, France, Denmark and Turkey and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, which will be played at Windsor Park on Thursday, July 25.
Atcheson made his senior debut last season, coming off the bench in the 8-0 win at Harrogate in the Carabao Cup.
The 17-year-old defender also got some minutes in the 4-1 victory against Wrexham in the FA Cup several months later.
Meanwhile, Doherty arrived at Ewood Park from Linfield earlier this summer, putting pen to paper over a three-year deal.
The 18-year-old forward is expected to be part of Mike Sheron’s Under-21 squad over the coming season as he adapts to English football.
Ahead of the Ukraine opener, McAuley said: “If you tell yourself you can do something then there’s a chance you can do it. If you tell yourself you can’t do something then you are not going to do it.
“It’s about getting them to believe in themselves, to make the right decisions both on and off the pitch.
“It is not going to be easy but if they apply themselves properly, then we will be competitive and will have a chance of getting out of the group.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our players to show what they can do. It will allow the supporters to see who is coming through, and it will be good for the supporters to see what we are doing.
“It’s massive to feel the support. It’s part of every player’s development to connect to the supporters.
“I believe the boys would thrive off it, would love it. They would really appreciate the fans coming out and creating an atmosphere.”
Meanwhile, ticket details have been confirmed for Rovers’ upcoming pre-season fixture against Wigan Athletic.
The match against Shaun Maloney’s side will take place on Saturday, July 27 (3pm) at the Brick Community Stadium.
Rovers have received an allocation of 1,512 tickets for the fixture and prices are £11 for adults, £6 for seniors and under-18s, and £3 for under-12s.
Supporters can purchase their tickets in person at the ticket office or via the phone lines on 01254 372000.
Official coach travel is also available for the fixture and is priced at £13 for adults and £11.50 for concessions. Buses will depart from Ewood Park (Darwen End) at 1pm.
Wigan finished 12th in League One last season although they started the campaign on minus eight points due to problems off the pitch.
