Rovers fans won’t have to wait long for their trip to Burnley after the 2024/25 Championship fixture list was revealed.

John Eustace’s side make the short trip to Turf Moor on Saturday, August 31 – the head coach’s first taste of the East Lancashire derby.

The return fixture at Ewood Park is set to take place on Saturday, January 4 as the fierce rivalry is renewed following the Clarets’ relegation from the Premier League.

Burnley are still searching for a new manager following Vincent Kompany’s move to European giants Bayern Munich.

Rovers will be looking for revenge after Manuel Benson’s goal saw the Clarets clinch the Championship title last time.

Eustace’s men head to Preston North End on Saturday, September 21, with the return fixture taking place on Saturday, February 1.

PNE fought back from 2-0 down to claim a point at Deepdale last season after an eventful Lancashire derby.

Rovers are at home to Sunderland on Boxing Day and also host Hull City over the Christmas period.

Eustace’s side head to Leeds United on New Year’s Day. The side secured a 1-0 victory at Elland Road last season thanks to Sam Szmodics’ heroics to secure a crucial three points in the relegation battle.

Rovers welcome Millwall to Ewood on Good Friday (April 18) before heading to the Stadium of Light on Easter Monday (April 21).
