Former Rovers coach Iain Brunskill has been named as Neil Lennon’s assistant at Romanian club Rapid Bucharest.
Brunskill spent the past season at Blackpool as part of Neil Critchley’s backroom staff as the Seasiders finished eighth in League One, missing out on a play-off spot following defeat at Reading on the final day.
Last week, the club announced that the 47-year-old had left Bloomfield Road to “pursue an opportunity elsewhere”.
Brunskill will now work alongside former Celtic and Bolton Wanderers boss Lennon in the dugout at Rapid.
An official statement read: "Iain Brunskill will be part of Neil Lennon's staff, he will be Rapid's assistant manager.
"He managed Liverpool Under-18s for 10 years before he moved to Blackburn Rovers. He was also manager of Floriana in Malta.
"He has also worked with the youth of the national teams of England, Jordan and China as well as being a coach at Blackpool and QPR."
Rapid finished sixth in the Superliga last season following a run of just one win from their final 10 matches.
Lennon penned a two-year contract with the Romanian outfit last week following an 18-month spell away from management.
The 52-year-old’s last role was at Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia but he was sacked in 2022 after seven months in the hot seat.
