Hull City have controversially sacked Liam Rosenior after failing to make the Championship play-offs.
The Tigers finished seventh in the final standings, missing out on the top-six after a final-day defeat to Plymouth Argyle. Even if they'd won, they would have still come up short.
Hull invested heavily last summer and then in the January transfer window, signing the likes of Fabio Carvalho, Tyler Morton, Ryan Giles and Anass Zaroury in a bid to earn promotion.
Nonetheless, the decision is a massive surprise. Rosenior had a good rapport with supporters and a growing reputation in management circles. He signed a new three-year contract in December with Hull and had meetings planned to take the club forward.

He was even nominated for Manager of the Season, though many felt that others were more deserving, losing out to Ipswich Town's promotion-winning manager, Kieran McKenna.
Rosenior took the job in November 2022 with the club in 21st position, before finishing 15th. They then finished seventh in his first full season at the helm.
Reports suggest that a search for a new manager is well underway with Hull keen to have a new man in place ahead of pre-season preparations.
Blackburn Rovers lost both matches against the Tigers, a 2-1 home reverse with ten men in August before losing 3-2 away from home in December.
