John Eustace admitted Blackburn Rovers 'let themselves down' with a woeful performance at Bristol City.
Rovers were resoundingly beaten 5-0 at Ashton Gate in a scoreline that didn't flatter their hosts. They gave away awful goals with individual errors central to their concessions.
Supporters have understandably voiced their anger at the result and the performance. Eustace did not hide away from the fact that the display was simply not up to scratch.
"Yeah I am really disappointed with the evening, it wasn't like us at all," Eustace said.

"Since I've been in, we have shown fight and desire and tonight we didn't. We gifted Bristol all of their goals and made it an easy night for them.
"We have to learn from tonight. The fans have travelled all the way from Blackburn to Bristol and we have let them down.
"We have to learn from it, we can't dwell on it and we have to bounce back. The fans have seen what we've done over the last 10, 11 games has been fantastic and tonight has been an off night.
"Everything is still in our hands. Tonight wasn't good enough, we know that. We gifted Bristol City their goals and we have to learn from it.
"We have to stick together, as we have done since I've been here. Since I've been here, I've said we're all in it together. There will be highs and their will be lows. This was a low night.
"Tonight we lost the game through individual errors, nothing else. We kept going but it wasn't good enough, we know we've let ourselves down.
"The character of the group will show and we have to stick together."
Eustace made four half-time substitutions and changed from 4-2-3-1 to 3-4-3 in an attempt to match Bristol City up.
The head coach explained he wanted to freshen up the side and try to change the momentum of the match with the alterations.
Scott Wharton was taken off with a back injury but the other three players, Joe Rankin-Costello, Dilan Markanday and Tyrhys Dolan, were withdrawn for tactical reasons.
"We wanted to freshen things up, I could've taken half of the team off at half-time," he explained.
"It was to freshen things up, we know we have a big game on Saturday. We had to change something.
"Scotty went off with a spasm in his back. He had to come off, unfortunately, but the rest were tactical.
"Again, that second half, we started well but then gifted them a couple of sloppy goals."
