Here's The Lancashire Telegraph's best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Southampton in the Championship.
Goalkeeper
Aynsley Pears will be between the sticks for Rovers. He didn't have much to do at Sunderland until the latter stages but made a few decent stops.
Defence
Harry Pickering is out of Saturday's match after picking up a hamstring injury against Sunderland. Ben Chrisene, who came on after 20 minutes at The Stadium of Light, is in line to take his place at left-back.
There is little reason to make changes, otherwise. Dom Hyam and Scott Wharton have been rock-solid in recent matches with Callum Brittain continuing at right-back.
Midfield
Joe Rankin-Costello produced a man-of-the-match performance against Sunderland. He's been a huge miss for Rovers.
The balance alongside Sondre Tronstad is good and the pair will look to continue their blossoming relationship.
Attack
The front four were unplayable at Sunderland and should get another run out together.
Sam Gallagher is facing his former club for the first time whilst Sam Szmodics is looking to hit 30 goals. If he does so, he'll be the first player since Alan Shearer to reach that milestone.
Predicted Blackburn Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Hyam, Wharton, Chrisene; Tronstad, Rankin-Costello; Hedges, Szmodics, Dolan; Gallagher.
