John Eustace was non-committal on whether Sam Gallagher, John Buckley or Kyle McFadzean will be available for Blackburn Rovers' trip to Sunderland on Easter Monday.

Rovers were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich Town on Good Friday with all three players unavailable for varying reasons.

Gallagher was due to start the match but was overnight on Thursday and had to withdraw from the squad. Buckley was described as 'touch and go' before kick-off after a whack on his knee in training and wasn't fit to feature.

McFadzean pulled out of training in the week with a hamstring injury having returned from suspension. The big centre-back's injury is not serious but it is unclear whether he'll be fit for the trip to the Stadium of Light.

"Big Gally was ill, he would've been starting tonight," Eustace said.

"Then the rest, the injuries before the game. Siggy missing out, Fadz started training on Monday and then pulled out with a slight hamstring issue. We'll have to assess that, it's not too bad, and hopefully, he'll be back Monday or Tuesday.

"John Buckley was missing, he went down with a kick to the knee on Wednesday, we will look at him. There are three or four possible starters for the game tonight.

"I hope they can be available, we'll have to assess them and have to see if they can be involved on Monday at Sunderland."

Arnor Sigurdsson (ankle), Harry Leonard (back) and John Fleck (shin) have all been ruled out for the remainder of the season. 

Joe Rankin-Costello and Hayden Carter both made their return from injury against Ipswich whilst Harry Pickering went off with a minor knock late on.
