Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course.
Aynsley Pears - 8
Pulled off some smart saves to deny Grant and Etete. Quick off his line on a few occasions to stop decent balls in-behind the defence.
Dom Hyam - 6
Won his headers and led the defence. Booked in the first half.
Kyle McFadzean - 7
Read the play well in what was a fourth game in quick succession. He's doing his chances of staying for next season no harm.
Scott Wharton - 7
Probably the best of the defenders. Used the ball better than most and tried to start attacks with passes into midfield.
Callum Brittain - 6
Didn't pose any real threat in the final third but was defensively sound. Maybe could've had a penalty after a shot was blocked by an arm.
Ben Chrisene - 6
Kept the wingers in check but didn't have much opportunity to get forward.
Sondre Tronstad - 5
Poor in the first half but better in the second. Just didn't show enough quality in his passing to get Rovers through the thirds.
Yasin Ayari - 5
Couldn't get into the game with Rovers sloppy in-possession beyond the halfway line. Taken off just before the hour mark.
Jake Garrett - 5
Rovers struggled to progress the ball through midfield. Garrett wasn't the only one but it wasn't his best game in possession.
Sam Szmodics - 5
Worked hard but his passing was a bit loose. Worked hard but didn't get much of a sniff at goal.
Sam Gallagher - 6
Worked hard for an hour but didn't get any sight of the goal. Final ball from all of the attack was missing.
Substitutes:
Andrew Moran (Ayari, 56') - 6
Couldn't provide much more of an impact after coming on.
Tyrhys Dolan (Gallagher, 61') - 6
Had Rovers' best chance of the game forcing Horvath into a smart save.
John Buckley (Garrett, 61') - 7
Made a noticeable impact after coming on. Well worth a start on Saturday.
Unused substitutes: Wahlstedt, O'Riordan, Koumetio, Markanday, Sigurdsson, Telalovic.
Referee: Leigh Doughty
Attendance: Unknown
