Here's The Lancashire Telegraph's best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Preston North End in the Championship
Goalkeeper
Aynsley Pears will continue in goal for Blackburn Rovers. He has been in solid form since returning between the sticks.
Defence
Eustace will have Scott Wharton available again and he could come straight back into the team at Deepdale. The defender has missed the last two games due to illness.
The question is whether Ryan Hedges can start a third game in seven days after such a long injury lay-off. If he is ready to go again, Ben Chrisene is most likely to make way, otherwise he will shift to left-wing-back.
The rest of the defence, Callum Brittain, Dom Hyam and Kyle McFadzean, should remain the same.
Midfield
Rovers will make an enforced change in midfield with Joe Rankin-Costello unavailable. The midfielder went for a scan on his knee on Thursday.
Jake Garrett has replaced him from the bench in the last two games whilst John Buckley, John Fleck and Yasin Ayari would also like to take his place.
It's a surprise Fleck hasn't played a minute of Championship football yet for Rovers and I wonder if he might get the nod, considering his experience/
Attack
The front three of Sam Gallagher, Tyrhys Dolan and Sam Szmodics should get the opportunity to go again, despite struggling to create much on Tuesday night.
Predicted Blackburn Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Hyam, McFadzean, Wharton, Hedges; Fleck, Tronstad; Dolan, Szmodics, Gallagher.
