Jon Dahl Tomasson stressed the importance of Blackburn Rovers digging in for a point against Huddersfield Town.
Rovers were once again not at their best at Ewood Park, drawing 1-1 to the relegation-threatened Terriers. The home side dominated possession and territory for large portions of the contest but didn't have the required guile to open up the defence.
Instead, it was Huddersfield that had the better chances. Aynsley Pears made a smart stop to deny Bojan Radulovic whilst Jack Rudoni and David Kasumu missed great opportunities.
Chance creation has not been much of an issue by and large this season, with converting those opportunities a bigger source of frustration.

With fewer moments to win the match, Tomasson reiterated the importance of ensuring Rovers didn't lose it, which has happened too often this season when they have played well.
"If you look at the game, we are playing against a side that is sitting back with a very clear game plan," he said.
"They had a lot of bodies and that makes it very difficult to create chances against a team that plays like that.
"All credit to Huddersfield as well. If you can't create chances you have to stand up well enough and make sure you're not conceding opportunities. That's football.
"Creating the chances and taking those moments, it's important not to lose the game. We should be disappointed but we take it with us.
"I give credit to the group, the players, when you look at the setbacks during the game as well. You should take that with you."
Tomasson admitted that Huddersfield had the better openings, particularly in the second half. He praised his goalkeeper for his reaction and paid respect to their opponents for the manner in which they defended their box.
"They had some good transition moments where they were very good. We should try to avoid those moments," he said.
"We made easy mistakes on the ball which let that happen, individual mistakes which happen. In the end, they're very good at counter-attacking with the speed they have.
"It was great to see Pears save the ball, it was a good chance."
He added: "We have been very good throughout the season at creating chances, one of the best in the league. Today, we did a lot of things very well until the final 18 yards. We were lacking runs and if you play within one or two touches, you keep the speed in the game, the pace in the game.
"If you take three, four, five touches, play backwards unnecessarily and you're not running, the space will be gone when you play against ten men (behind the ball)."
