Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna refused to be drawn on speculation linking them with a move for Blackburn Rovers striker Sam Gallagher.
A report from The PA has suggested Rovers have rejected bids of £1million and 1.5m for the striker, who has been out of action since mid-September through injury. He will, however, travel with the squad to West Brom this weekend.
Gallagher is one of Rovers' highest earners and his contract expires in the summer. However, the club hold the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months on his existing terms.
Jon Dahl Tomasson has bemoaned a lack of experience in his squad and so selling Gallagher in January would be further weakening their options in attack.

However, with his contract dwindling down and Rovers wary of balancing the books, they have a difficult decision to make on their number nine.
Ipswich are known to be looking for a striker after former Blackburn loanee George Hirst was ruled out with a long-term hamstring injury. They, of course, signed Lewis Travis on loan from Rovers last week.
Kieran McKenna wouldn't be drawn on speculation about offers for Gallagher. He said: “I think it’s clear by now, we’re not ever going to speculate on any player, let alone a player who is contracted with another club.
“We have targets in the positions that we’re trying to acquire this January and those targets really are for us."
On their striker hunt, he added: "It's an area we want to add to, but I'd imagine maybe 80% of the clubs in the Championship are trying to add a forward or striker to their ranks though.
"There are only so many available, there are only so many available that are within our budget and most of those are currently involved with a team who don't want to lose them.
"The club are working hard to make additions in that area, but there's nothing that we've been successful with yet. We'll see how the next couple of weeks in the window go."
