Blackburn Rovers jokingly offered their next FA Cup opponents directions to their stadium after a map used in a documentary resurfaced.
Rovers were drawn against League Two side Wrexham in the fourth round of the FA Cup when the draw was made on Monday, January 8.
They will meet at Ewood Park on the weekend of January 27th, with the TV picks for the match still to be publicly announced.
The Welsh club are owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney following their high-profile takeover in February 2021.
Since then, the club swiftly became one of the strongest sides in the National League, and secured promotion back to the Football League at in the 2022/23 season with a record-breaking title win.
Since the 2021/22 season, the club’s exploits have been documented by the Disney+ documentary Welcome to Wrexham, where the aforementioned map came to light.
The graphic, which aired during season two of the show, was designed to show where certain teams in the UK are located but left some fans – including Rovers – confused.
It left teams scattered far away from their real-life locations, with Rovers placed as far north as Carlisle, close to the border with Scotland.
It also showed only one of Wrexham’s fellow Welsh sides, Newport County, in its actual country, with Cardiff City and Swansea City placed down in Cornwall.
Other ‘supposedly’ Welsh teams along with Wrexham included Everton, who are from Liverpool, Rochdale, in Greater Manchester, and Shrewsbury Town, close to the border but in Shropshire.
Following the draw, Rovers posted a picture of the map on X saying: “See you soon, Wrexham AFC. Let us know if you need directions?”

This was in a reply to a previous tweet the club made when the map first game out when they said: “Going down the Hadrian’s Wall… to see the Blackburn aces,” replacing the usual Bolton Road in the chant.
Fans and brands were quick to jump of the post and praise Rovers for their wit, with Specsavers replying: “We’ve booked them in” and a Brazilian fan account for Wrexham saying “well played.”
Speculation over whether Wrexham’s Hollywood owners will be in attendance at Ewood Park has started to build since the draw was announced.
At least one of the pair regularly attends games at the club’s Cae Ras ground, with McElhenney present at their first game back in League Two – a 5-3 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons.
Reynolds, meanwhile, was in town for the fourth-round last year when Wrexham played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with then Championship side Sheffield United.
With Wrexham having reached this stage in consecutive seasons as a National League and League Two club, the owners may be inclined to head over and take in Ewood Park.

Speaking ahead of the game, boss Phil Parkinson told The Leader: "I have seen some of the away followings there this year and Blackburn always give the away team a great allocation of tickets.
"It gives us an opportunity to take a large travelling army with us which always gives a special FA Cup feel to it.
"There is that bonus and it is a test for us against a Championship team. Of course, we would have loved a home draw but we didn't get it and when the game comes, we will be prepared for it.”
