Jon Dahl Tomasson was disappointed with Blackburn Rovers' defensive display at Hull City but encouraged by their character to come from two goals behind.
Rovers fell to their sixth defeat in seven Championship games, where they have conceded 18 times in that run. They've leaked 46 goals this season, the second-worst record in the league, only two worse than rock-bottom Rotherham United.
Against Hull, they were again incredibly poor at the back. Rovers were two-nil down after 18 minutes after gifting goals to the opposition.
Tomasson admitted that the team must defend those situations better but wanted to focus on the quality Rovers showed on the ball. But having got themselves back to 2-2, they gave away another sloppy goal to lose the match.

"We are disappointed to lose the game, of course," he said. "We knew it would be difficult against a very good side.
"We are disappointed with the goals we conceded. The first two had nothing to do with shape, we had spare players and we spoke before the game about Hull's balls in-behind and that was something they're good at.
"We should have done better. I must also give my team credit for their reaction at 2-0 down. The resilience, the spirit and togetherness, good football.
"The goals we created to come back, we looked very good at that time to make it 2-2. Then we should go for the game of course.
"It was an equal game in the second half where we should have done better. We did a lot of good things against a very good side.
"We are very disappointed with those moments, we should do better. We have spare players in every situation, we can complain about that. But after those moments, we showed resilience and even with ten men the players did a good effort.
"It's difficult to win games when you concede three goals away from home. It's not easy to score two goals away and we had more chances. We have to do better."
Rovers fans are understandably frustrated and the team has been accused of being too easy to play against. Tomasson put that down to the make-up of his squad.
"We can't forget it's a very good team, a very young squad. We all know what happened in the summer.
"We know this is a great league with a lot of experienced players. Not only this league but in league levels. We have players who aren't used to playing three games in a week and not playing league football a lot.
"I think it's quite normal, we are trying to develop those players. That's what we are trying to do."
