Arnor Sigurdsson has described Jon Dahl Tomasson as a 'genius' after signing permanently for Blackburn Rovers.
The Icelandic international has signed a permanent deal at Ewood Park until 2025. The 24-year-old becomes a Blackburn player effectively immediately ahead of the January transfer window.
Sigurdsson has explained why he was so excited to commit his future to the club and work with Tomasson for the foreseeable future. After missing pre-season with a groin injury, he hit the ground running after returning to full fitness.
He then had a spell out of the side before starting the last two matches, scoring a fantastic team goal against Bristol City. That quality of football was a sign of the 'project which Sigurdsson is delighted to have signed up to.

The forward has raved about the Rovers head coach, describing him as a 'genius' and lavishing praise on the way he develops players on the training pitch.
"He is really demanding but that is a good thing," Tomasson said. "I think we show that in our style of football.
"I think we can beat every team because we have that structure with the way the team wants to play. It's a great system and everyone sees we play football that people want to watch.
"I think that's pretty amazing and in the last five, six months, I have learned more than in my whole career. He is a genius and the way he wants to play is impressive.
"I think I can grow with the team, I wouldn't sign if I didn't see it as a project. It's a very exciting project and with the gaffer's way of playing, instructing his players.
"I will grow more and the team will and that is exciting. Just since day one, even when I was injured, he showed me how he wanted to play and he does it almost every day. He is demanding but that's very good, I'm a player that wants to learn. Having a coach like him is perfect."
