Jon Dahl Tomasson has not held any talks with Blackburn Rovers about extending his contract with 18 months remaining on his deal.
The Blackburn Rovers head coach has been a huge success since coming to the club in June 2022. He signed an initial three-year deal with the club which keeps him at Ewood Park until 2025.
There was speculation about his future in the summer, with his services linked with then-vacant Leeds United and Leicester City posts. After the budget cuts, there were also reports in the national media that Tomasson was considering his future.
With key players such as Sam Szmodics and Adam Wharton committing their futures to the club, fans have questioned whether Tomasson could do the same. He revealed no talks have been held about extending his stay.

"No, there have not been any discussions," Tomasson told The Lancashire Telegraph. "We haven't spoken, I signed a three-year deal when I arrived.
"I am halfway, I am one of the few managers in the league that is still alive."
Wharton signed a new five-year deal with Rovers on Friday, delighting supporters as he committed his future to the club. It came as a slight surprise as his existing deal ran until 2027 and there have been interested Premier League clubs.
Tomasson was very pleased to see the club tie down one of their key assets. He insisted Wharton should still be aiming to reach the very top level of the English game and have aspirations of playing for his country.
However, he applauded the sensible decision to continue his development at Rovers and not move too soon.
"He has grown a lot, it's extremely positive," Tomasson said. "Sometimes when they come to the first team, they have to get used to things. What does the manager expect, what do fans expect?
"What do team mates expect? He has improved a lot in the last period, especially with his defending. That's the area he had to improve and he is making big steps.
"If he stays clever up there, there is a big future there. The academy has done a very good job as well as the family. He has been very good, you see the amount he's played this season.
"He deserves this contract. We must admit Rovers is a great club but he should have big ambition to go to the highest level, the highest club. You are allowed to dream of England something bigger.
"It's a long journey still, he has to have the right mentality. You see a lot of big talents where the mentality isn't right. Suddenly you have competition, how do you cope with that? It's about helping the players when they're young, they should be able to survive and they then become better over time.
"It's a great choice for him to sign a new deal. He's a player that a lot of clubs would like to have but we are building him up. This is the right environment, complements to the family, sometimes they make those steps too early, looking at money and opportunities but then you don't play."
