Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has heaped praise on 'crazy' Blackburn Rovers ahead of their trip to Ewood Park.

The automatic-promotion-chasing Whites take on Jon Dahl Tomasson's side on Saturday, with Rovers looking for an immediate response after their 3-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

Rovers have developed a reputation as one of the Championship's entertainers this season, drawing praise from plenty of opposition managers and even supporters.

Farke is a full of admiration for the work Tomasson is doing at Rovers and described their style as 'crazy in a positive way' ahead of kick-off. He insisted Leeds aren't fearful but will have to be at their best to get a positive result.

"I like this side, I really rate them and the work of Jon Dahl a lot," Farke said. "Really good possession side, a bit unpredictable, brave and sometimes crazy in a positive way. 

"It's difficult if you want to follow each and every movement. It's quite important you are rock solid against them and have a good structure against the ball. 

"Many good players on an individual level, especially in the offence. If we do this, then we have our opportunities to shine and create chances and hurt them but if you're not spot on, this team can hurt every team on this level. We will travel not with fear but respectfully, to give ourselves a chance to win the points."

Leeds will check on Luke Ayling's knee injury in the next 48 hours but have got star player Crysencio Summerville available despite picking up a knock last weekend. 

The winger, who won the October Player of the Month award in the Championship, has been in electric form for Leeds this season. Summerville has eight goals and six assists already in 16 Championship appearances.

Sam Byram and Joe Gelhardt are also available whilst Ian Poveda has been allowed to depart to join up with the Colombian national team. Junior Firpo remains on the sidelines and so it will likely be Archie Gray and Byram at full-back, though Tottenham Hotspur loanee Djed Spence is pushing for his first Championship start after returning from injury.

"There were a few knocks after the last game and we have to manage the load," Farke said. "Joe Gelhardt had a few problems last week. In the beginning of the week Sam Byram, Crysencio Summerville and Joffy (Gelhardt) had a few problems and had to manage the load a little, but all three were really involved in training today so I expect them all to be available and fit.

"Obviously we've got the injury with Junior Firpo and the situation with Ian Poveda called up to the Colombian national team. Apart from this, the only question mark is Luke Ayling because he's had two proper days of training in the last couple of days but reported yesterday some light knee problems.

"I hope he is able to train back with the team tomorrow (Friday) in order to be available, but this is more or less the only concern."

Leeds boast the fifth-best away record in the Championship this term, collecting 14 points from nine outings. In the last ten matches, nobody has taken more points than Farke's team (25), underlying the size of the challenge presented to Rovers this weekend.

In that same time, Tomasson's side have a respectable 18 points, the seven-best return in that period. Their home form has improved after the 3-2 win over Birmingham City last week but still can be improved upon compared to their success at Ewood Park last season.

It should be an increased attendance of around 20,000 on Saturday with Leeds United bringing over 7,000 to pack out the Darwen End.
