Here's The Lancashire Telegraph's best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

Goalkeeper

Leopold Wahlstedt will be between the sticks for Rovers. He pulled off a few good saves in midweek against Birmingham City.

Defence

Tomasson will again be forced into a defensive reshuffle with Lewis Travis suspended. The midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Birmingham City.

Callum Brittain is likely to drop back into right-back after playing further forward in the last two games. Scott Wharton is another options if Rovers deem him fit enough to play, which would see James Hill back on the right.

Hayden Carter and Harry Pickering will make up the left side of the defence.

Midfield

Sondre Tronstad, Adam Wharton and Sam Szmodics have established themselves as the preferred trio right now for Tomasson. They have started the four Championship games.

Jake Garrett is knocking on the door to get a first Championship start of the season but I think the Rovers head coach will keep the same midfield balance for the trip to Hillsborough.

Attack

Tyrhys Dolan is ruled out with a knee injury and so Harry Leonard is expected to take his place up front. The striker scored from the bench against Birmingham and deserves a first start since September.

Andrew Moran will keep his place on the right and Arnor Sigurdsson could come in on the left with Brittain moving to full-back. It would be the same team that started the second-half against Birmingham.

Blackburn Rovers (4-3-3): Wahlstedt; Brittain, Hill, Carter, Pickering; Tronstad, A.Wharton, Szmodics; Moran, Sigurdsson, Leonard.
