Jon Dahl Tomasson is waiting for scan results on Tyrhys Dolan but revealed the Blackburn Rovers forward has a knee injury.
The 21-year-old was taken off after 16 minutes during the 4-2 win over Birmingham City on Wednesday night. Dolan received treatment on the pitch and then tried to continue but went off a few minutes later.
With so many players already on the treatment table, the last thing Rovers need is further injury problems. The substitute bench was already filled with three outfield players who haven't made Championship debuts for the club.
Tomasson is expecting Rovers to be without Dolan for the trip to Hillsborough on Saturday but doesn't have any more information about the injury. They will hopefully have more information ahead of Friday's press conference.

"I don't have specific news, it's the knee," Tomasson said. "What is it exactly, I don't know.
"He'll have a scan tomorrow so we will wait for that. Hopefully, we can say a bit more and we'll keep our fingers crossed with Tyrhys.
"We are missing a lot of players. When we talk about who is available and who isn't, I sometimes forget them because we have a lot.
"We will be even younger on Saturday, I think we are the youngest. We shouldn't forget those players that are playing and doing a great job for Rovers."
Rovers will also be without captain Lewis Travis on Saturday. The captain picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the first half and is now suspended.
Travis was substituted at half-time and that was a tactical decision, rather than any injury. Tomasson felt that, up against Siriki Dembele, it was the right decision to take him off.
"He got his fifth yellow card and the lad he's playing against was quite quick," he explained.
"I thought it was too risky to leave him on."
Sam Szmodics is the only other player at risk of a ban for five yellow cards. The cut-off is after the fame on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday and then resets to ten yellows by the 37th game of the season.
