How would you feel if your partner proposed to you with a ring inspired by their favourite football club?
Burnley fans could be one step closer to this reality after rings for all 20 Premier League clubs were designed and valued, allowing Clarets to combine their love of the game with love for their partner.
For those looking to do this, Betway have designed rings inspired by each of the top teams in England’s footballing pyramid, and partnered with jeweller Edward Fleming to reveal the materials, stones, and styles of each in order to create each bespoke ring.
Fleming also valued each ring to determine which team's ring is the most expensive and affordable to produce so fans can work out how much they can expect to spend for this declaration of love.
Made with 18 carat yellow gold and adorned with blue topaz, diamonds and garnets, the Burnley engagement ring pay homage to the club colours with deep-set red jewels and blue in the middle.
White diamonds dotted throughout represent the white shorts of the traditional Burnley kit, while the blue topaz and garnets create the ultimate Clarets-inspired ring.
How much would this set you back though?
Coming in at £5,000, it’s way more than the UK average price of an engagement ring, which is somewhere between £1,800 and £2,100.
Compared to the other 19 teams though, it’s very much middle of the road, with fellow claret and blue side Aston Villa costing £3,000 along with Brighton and Sheffield United, while any Liverpool fans would have to fork out an eye-watering £70,000.
Would it be worth the money though? Well, according to an expert Edward Fleming, the AI-created ring is an “unglamourous design, but quite flashy,” making it an eye-catching tribute.
