Here's The Lancashire Telegraph's best guess on how Rovers might line-up against Stoke City in the Championship.

Goalkeeper

Leopold Wahlstedt will be between the sticks for Rovers. He's started the last eight Championship games now.

Aynsley Pears remains a few weeks of from contending for the number one short again.

Defence

Thankfully, Tomasson has Hayden Carter and Harry Pickering fit again to bolster his defensive options. They should both come back into the line-up.

The question is whether James Hill moves to right-back or Scott Wharton drops out of the side. I think it'll be Carter and Wharton in the middle, Hill on the right and Pickering slotting in as usual on the left.

Midfield

The midfield trio of Sondre Tronstad, Adam Wharton and Sam Szmodics has worked well so far. I don't see any obvious reason to change it.

Lewis Travis did well at right-back against Preston so it may be a little harsh to leave him out but with natural defenders fit, it doesn't make sense to play him out of position.

Attack

In attack, I think we'll see one alteration to the front line. Andrew Moran and Tyrhys Dolan will keep their places on the left and up front.

With Hill at right-back, I think Callum Brittain will play more advanced down the right instead of Arnor Sigurdsson, who has been away with Iceland.

Harry Leonard is another player contending to start, having scored a hat-trick for the Under-21s in midweek. But, by and large, Dolan has done well up front and so he should keep that spot.

Blackburn Rovers (4-3-3): Wahlstedt; Hill, Carter, S.Wharton, Pickering; Tronstad, A.Wharton, Szmodics; Brittain, Moran, Dolan.
