Blackburn Rovers Women fell to a fifth-successive defeat as they were beaten 3-0 by London City Lionesses.
After a strong start to the season, Simon Parker's side have struggled in the last month and were once again beaten at home. Three first-half strikes took the game away from them.
It took only two minutes for Danielle Carter to pierce the back line after being set up by Maddi Wilde. Before 10 minutes had been played, the scoreline had been doubled, giving Rovers a mountain to climb,
This time, Wilde turned from provider to goal-scorer, heading in Emma Mukandi's cross. The third swfitly followed in the 20th minute, as
Paige Satchell's shot that was saved by Alex Brooks, but Lucy Fitzgerland was there to tap home the rebound.
Rovers pushed to try and get themselves back into the match but their efforts were rebuffed with London City in complete control. In the end, they saw the game out for a comfortable 3-0 win, with the damage inflicted in the opening quarter of the contest.
