Jon Dahl Tomasson is expecting 'big budget' Norwich City to be a tough test for Blackburn Rovers despite their poor form.
Blackburn Rovers travel to Carrow Road on Sunday looking to heap further misery on the Canaries. David Wagner is under pressure having won just one of his last nine matches in charge.
Rovers were Wagner's first opponent when they met in the FA Cup in January and there's a feeling they could be his last if the result doesn't go their way. Tomasson is expecting it to be a tough game and thinks Norwich will climb the table because of their finances and quality of player.
"We were lucky in one of the game and the other was deserved but then we lost at home where we should have won," Tomasson said. "They're a good side with a lot of experience and very good players.
"We'll go down there to try and try to win the game. We can hopefully control it and create chances. If you want to control games you have to create chances.
"They're not in the best shape at the moment but they have so many good players and a big budget. I think they'll be up there at the end of the year.
"We will go there and be brave. We can't play with fear, I don't do that."
Hayden Carter's suspension means Rovers will only have James Hill and Scott Wharton available as senior centre-back at Norwich. They haven't started a Championship game together with Dom Hyam and Hayden Carter forming a consistent partnership this calendar year.
They have spent time playing as a pair in internal games, though, and Tomasson believes they're both in good form ahead of the weekend. He heaped extra praise on the performances of Hill, who has been fantastic since coming into the team.
"They had a good opportunity to play at Chelsea, I know not for a long time," Tomasson said. "They've also played together during internal games which is helpful.
"James is in a good place and I thought Scotty did well against Chelsea. It's a good opportunity to grab that chance. If you look at James, for example, he has been playing out of position, though he's used to playing there.
"He played central and did very well. There is a reason why he chose Blackburn Rovers and that is the way of playing too. He's a good example of how we will like to see football and he's done very well."
