Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course.
Leopold Walhstedt - 7
Couldn't do anything about the goal from Cullen, a brilliant finish into the far corner. Made a big save to deny Paterson and prevent it from being two.
James Hill - 6
His touch was off with a few sloppy bits of control. Great run and cross to create a big chance for Leonard late on. Not his best game after a good run of form in the last few weeks but still worked hard.
Hayden Carter - 6
Booked in the first half which means he will miss the Norwich City game through suspension.
Scott Wharton - 5
Won a lot of headers which will probably go under the radar but looked nervy on the ball, at times. Was let off with a huge error with Wahlstedt denying Paterson.
Harry Pickering - 5
Looked short of ideas when he advanced into the final third. Couldn't really influence the game when he moved into midfield.
Sondre Tronstad - 5
Won some challenges but his passing range was off. Too many loose balls trying to beat Swansea's press.
Joe Rankin-Costello - 6
Didn't have the same impact as he has in recent weeks. Taken off after an hour for Wharton.
Sam Szmodics - 6
Had a few sights of goal and looked most likely to deliver a goal. His best effort was down the throat of Carl Rushworth after a nice move.
Callum Brittain - 5
Didn't come back out for the second half after a mixed 45. Started brightly but then struggled to pose a threat as Swansea grew into the game. Should have scored after 60 seconds but turned the ball wide which was a big moment.
Arnor Sigurdsson - 5
Another quiet game for the Icelandic forward, who just couldn't get into the game again. Second time in a week that he's come off at half-time.
Tyrhys Dolan - 6
He should've had an assist but Brittain turned the ball wide. Worked hard up front but didn't get much sight of the goal.
Substitutes:
Dilan Markanday (Brittain, 45') - 6
Tried to make something happen with driving runs down the right. Final ball was lacking.
Andrew Moran (Sigurdsson, 45') - 6
Couldn't influence things in the final third.
Adam Wharton (Rankin-Costello, 60') - 6
Looked a bit rusty in some moments but then produced moments of magic. Lovely ball to release Leonard but he dragged it wide.
Harry Leonard (Dolan, 60) - 6
Could've easily had two goals. One shot which he dragged wide and a header from six yards which was straight at the goalkeeper.
Unused substitutes: Hilton, Atcheson, Garrett, Telalovic, Ennis.
Referee: Stephen Martin
Attendance: 13,102
