Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course.

Aysnley Pears

Couldn't do much about either of the two close-range finishes. Limped off with a worrying-looking injury. 6

Callum Brittain

Solid at right-back and didn't struggle against the dangerous Mavididi. Couldn't get forward and influence things as much as he might have liked in the second half. Some good touches in tight areas. 7

Hayden Carter

Could've been tighter to Vardy in the box as he finished from close range. Booked for a very late challenge on Dewsbury-Hall and brought down Vestergaard for the penalty. Has been excellent in 2023 but might be ready for a rest. 5

Dom Hyam

Got caught under the ball which allowed Waes to head in. Hasn't quite hit the very high standards he showed last year. 5

Harry Pickering

Produced an excellent last-ditch block to prevent Ndidi from making it 3-1 in the second half. 6

Adam Wharton

Tried to make things happen for Rovers but he couldn't get the game by the scruff of the neck. Got tired as the game went on and gave the ball away. 6

Lewis Travis

Did really well to win the ball back from Winks for the equaliser. Could've equalised but Hermansen pulled off a good save. 7

Andrew Moran

The pick of the bunch. Looks really at home in the centre and made some very important driving runs to get Leicester back peddling. One of the first names on the team sheet in the attacking areas now. 8

Dilan Markanday

Some good bits and some frustrating bits. Got to to the line with good trickery and delivered well on a few occasions. Needs to look after the ball a bit better on others. 6

Arnor Sigurdsson

Couldn't really influence the match in the final third as Leicester crowded him out. Lasted an hour before he made way after a third start in eight days. 6

Sam Szmodics

Took his sixth goal of the season really well with a clinical left-footed finish. Came deep to try and help with the build-up play but couldn't help to find the equaliser. 6

Substitutes:

Leo Walhstedt (Pears, 61')

Came on for Pears with half an hour to go but couldn't do anything about the goals. 6

Tyrhys Dolan (Sigurdsson, 61')

Looked bright when he came on with the score at 2-1 but once the third went in it was game over. 6

Sondre Tronstad (Wharton, 83')

On when the game was over. N/A

Semir Telalovic (Markanday, 83')

Didn't see much of the ball after coming on with two goals to find. N/A

Joe Rankin-Costello (Pickering, 88')

A late change at 4-1. N/A
