Jon Dahl Tomasson is relishing the opportunity to face Chelsea with Blackburn Rovers heading to Stamford Bridge in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Rovers booked their place in the next stage after beating Cardiff City 5-2 at Ewood Park. Goals from Jake Garrett, Arnor Sigurdsson, Andrew Moran (2) and Dilan Markanday saw their Championship opposition swept aside.
Having dispatched Walsall and Harrogate Town in the previous two rounds, it's a big step up in opposition with Rovers pitting their wits against Mauricio Pochettino's side. The Blues beat Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 to enter the fourth round.
Tomasson is pleased his team will get their chance to face one of Europe's biggest clubs, though he'd have preferred a home draw.

"I would have rather had a draw like that at home!," Tomasson toldRoversTV. "So we can get a lot of people into Ewood Park.
"On the other hand, I remember last season when we went to West Ham in the evening in the midweek. We had a lot of travelling fans.
"We know Chelsea will be big favourites but it's a good opportunity to develop, a good opportunity to try and play against better players.
"It can show all our players what they need to become better. We always go on the pitch to win and we will try to win that game.
“We all know the Premier League is the best league in the world. Chelsea have brought a couple of players in and I think they need three dressing rooms for all of them!" he added.
“That’s the opportunity and it’s a great opportunity to play in a great stadium. I think our fans will enjoy travelling there, even though the journey will be long.”
The tie will take place on the week commencing October 30th. Rovers face Swansea City at Ewood Park on the 28th and travel to Norwich City on Saturday 4th of November.
Chelsea play Brentford on the 28th and aren't in action in the Premier League again until Monday, November 6 against Tottenham Hotspur. That makes a Tuesday or Wednesday match an equal possibility.
