Jon Dahl Tomasson has several intriguing selection calls to make after time on the training ground with his squad.
Blackburn Rovers welcome Middlesbrough to Ewood Park on Saturday, fresh from a two-week break over the international break. It provided convenient timing for Rovers with injuries mounting up.
Tomasson will have enjoyed time with the group on the Brockhall pitches which has offered a first chance to work with Semir Telalovic and James Hill. Both players joined in the final 48 hours of the summer transfer window but joined in for their first sessions last Thursday.
After working with the squad, Rovers arranged a behind-closed-doors friendly against National League side Rochdale. A 9-2 victory proceeded for Tomasson's side, with Telalovic netting a hat-trick in 60 minutes.

Hill also played an hour with both getting important minutes into their legs. There was positive news on the injury front too with Arnor Sigurdsson and Joe Rankin-Costello involved.
The Icelandic summer signing has been out for two months with a groin injury but completed half an hour. Rankin-Costello picked up a similar knock against Watford but played 45 minutes which would imply he's available for selection this weekend.
Niall Ennis wasn't involved, though. The striker was initially ruled out for two weeks by Tomasson after picking up a knee injury against Hull City. Though a fortnight has passed, he didn't play and was working in the gym last week.
Harry Leonard netted a brace whilst Dilan Markanday and Jake Garrett were among the other senior scorers. It's not rare for Tomasson to arrange midweek internal games or friendlies, though the outcomes are rarely made public.
By the fact Telalovic spent an hour on Tuesday getting minutes in his legs would perhaps suggest a watching brief, at least from the start, against Middlesbrough. Sam Gallagher still seems most likely to get the nod up front with the 23-year-old poised from the bench.
The other big decision for Tomasson to make is in goal. Aysnley Pears will be disappointed with his role in Plymouth Argyle's second and third goals before the break and it could open the door for Leopold Wahlstedt.
The 24-year-old Swedish 'keeper has only played in the 8-0 Carabao Cup rout at Harrogate Town so far. But he has come to Ewood to play matches and it'll be interesting if Tomasson gives him his opportunity. The Rovers head coach has not been one to chop and change in goal.
Thomas Kaminski only lost his shirt because of injury and Tomasson felt Pears deserved to keep it after that. The Rovers boss is yet to 'drop' a goalkeeper based on form.
Rankin-Costello's 45 minutes could have him in contention to start against Middlesbrough. That will also be a tough decision as Callum Brittain performed well at left-back against Watford and didn't do much wrong on the right at Home Park. But Rankin-Costello offers Rovers so much offensively and is Tomasson's first-choice selection. Fitness will probably decide that call at right-back.
On the left-hand side, Saturday will probably be too soon for Sigurdsson to be involved. At best, he would be on the bench. So it's a toss-up between Andy Moran and Tyrhys Dolan once more.
Moran got the shirt against Plymouth and though he didn't score, he's been lively in his Rovers appearance so far. He also had a great week on international duty with Republic of Ireland's Under-21s, captaining the side and scoring in their 3-2 win over Turkey on Friday night.
Dolan, by contrast, has struggled for any form at the start of this season. He has been on the periphery of games and hasn't shown the level of performance hoped after his bright run in February in Ben Brereton Diaz's absence.
