A number of ex-Rovers stars are set to play in a charity game this weekend to support Rio Spurr, the son of Tommy Spurr.
Rio was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer last year but several months ago, his family shared the news that scans had shown no evidence of the disease.
Unfortunately, the four-year-old has a “high risk” of relapsing and fundraising has continued to help him access potentially live saving treatment in future, which is not available through the NHS and could cost up to £1million.
The event takes place on Sunday, September 10 at Ribchester Park and admission is free for anyone planning to attend.

David Dunn, Colin Hendry, Kevin Gallacher, Danny Graham, Matt Kilgallon and Alex Baptiste are among the former Rovers names set to take part for the Spurr’s Legends team against Ribchester.
The defender also represented Preston North End during his playing career and has recruited the likes of Jermaine Beckford, Chris Sedgwick, Jon Parkin and Paul McKenna to get involved.
The team of legends will be managed by former Rovers wideman Craig Conway, who had a five-and-a-half-year spell in East Lancashire.
There will be bars, food stalls, inflatables, rides, games, face painting, a raffle and even a magician.
Supporters can enter from 12pm and the match will kick-off at 2pm. It is hoped that this year’s event can surpass the £20,000 total raised 12 months ago.
"We have been told that Rio’s chances, if he does have a relapse, will drop to 10 per cent, which explains the reason why we are trying to raise funds to be prepared for if that does happen," Spurr told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"Anyone in our position would do the same if it was their little boy or little girl. It is just unbearable to think about.
"It is about families. I think doing an event where kids are all involved is what it is all about.
"To not be at a football ground, but to be on Ribchester Park, where we take our children, it feels really special and something really close to us."
