Walsall boss Mat Sadler wants to see his side attack the game against Rovers in the Carabao Cup opening round.
The League Two outfit make the trip to Ewood Park with a place in the Carabao Cup second round on the line.
Sadler wants his side to focus on their own game rather than worrying about the quality in the Rovers squad.
“I am sure there will be changes to their line-up for the game and we will have to assess what we do,” he told the club's Youtube channel.
“But it is another opportunity to win a football match and it is all part of the process for us. We just need to get back to what we believe in and what we want to do with the ball.
“We need to think about ourselves and be ready to approach and attack another game.”
Walsall suffered a 2-1 defeat against Morecambe over the weekend, with Farrend Rawson scoring the winner in stoppage time.
Daniel Johnson had earlier cancelled out Adam Mayor’s opener, and Sadler’s side left the Mazuma Stadium empty handed.
Sadler admits it was a tough result to take but felt there were plenty of positives to build on from the performance.
“It’s really hard to be too critical overall because I thought we looked good, especially in the second half,” he added.
“After we scored to get back in the game, I thought there was only one team that was going to win it and that is why there are a lot of frustrated bodies in the dressing room.
“We hit the post and looked dangerous when we went forward. The final pass was missing at times but there is a lot to take from the game and a lot we can work on.”
Rovers ran out 2-1 winners when the sides last met in February 2018 thanks to a double from Danny Graham at the Bescot Stadium.
Graham bagged another brace when the sides met at Ewood Park a month prior, with Bradley Dack also getting on the scoresheet that day.
Rovers are unbeaten in their last nine matches against the Saddlers in all competitions – a record stretching back to December 1973.
