Rovers will learn their opponents in the first round of this season’s Carabao Cup tomorrow (Thursday).
Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men made it to the fourth round last term following victories against Hartlepool, Bradford and Premier League outfit West Ham.
They were eventually knocked out by Nottingham Forest following a 4-1 defeat at Ewood Park despite Scott Wharton’s goal on the stroke of half time.
The first-round draw is scheduled to take place at 2:30pm on Thursday and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The competition is regionalised at this stage, with Rovers placed in the northern section along with 37 other clubs.
All Carabao Cup first-round ties are scheduled to be played on the week commencing Monday, August 7.
